Verizon ISP VPS in Washington, DC: what the Blossom route provides

A Verizon ISP VPS is useful when the network identity of the public IP matters alongside the server itself. Blossom's Washington, DC route combines a complete KVM VPS with a dedicated IPv4 address on Verizon FiOS Business. It is a server you administer, not a browser profile, a shared NAT exit, or a rotating proxy endpoint.
That distinction is worth making plainly because "ISP VPS" gets used for several different products online. Some services sell proxy access. Some sell cloud servers with ordinary hosting addresses. Some use the word residential for any address that is not obviously cloud-hosted. Blossom's Washington route is narrower and more specific: it uses Verizon FiOS Business IPv4 addresses in Washington, DC. They are business ISP addresses, not residential service addresses.
What comes with a Washington Verizon ISP VPS
Each Washington ISP VPS has its own dedicated Verizon ISP IPv4 address while the service is active. The address is assigned to that box rather than shared among a pool of customers. You receive a normal virtual server with operating-system access, so you can install software, manage files, run services, and administer the environment in the same way you would with another VPS.
The current Washington ISP line is delivered on a gigabit Verizon connection. In recorded host-side testing, a single flow reached approximately 939 Mbps download and 941 Mbps upload, with 3.86 ms latency to Ashburn and no packet loss in that run. The useful customer-facing description is therefore gigabit. It is not marketed as a dedicated 2 Gbps server: bonded links can increase aggregate capacity across multiple flows, but a single connection is still limited by the speed of one link.
The route also uses split local storage. The system disk is NVMe, with additional SATA HDD data storage on the Washington plans. That makes the small, fast system volume practical for the operating system and installed software while preserving larger local capacity for data that does not need NVMe latency.

The right plan depends on the server resources your software needs, not on the IP label alone. The Verizon network identity is consistent across the Washington ISP ladder; CPU, memory, and storage scale by tier.

Why Washington, DC matters
Washington, DC is the location of this Verizon route. It is not Washington state. Geography affects latency, the path between your VPS and a destination, and whether the East Coast is a sensible place to run the workload.
For an East Coast application, development environment, remote desktop, or service endpoint, Washington can be a natural location. For a West Coast workload, a different route may be more appropriate. The only dependable way to evaluate a specific external service is to test the real path you intend to use. It is not a guarantee of any result at a third-party website. A destination can consider account history, cookies, device signals, location, payment information, usage patterns, automation, previous activity, and its own reputation data. Classifications also change as databases and operators update their data. An ISP VPS is infrastructure with a particular network identity, not a promise that a site will grant access or treat traffic in a fixed way.
That framing is also why the product is not described as residential. Verizon FiOS Business is a business ISP service. It is more accurate to say what is actually delivered: a dedicated Verizon Business ISP IPv4 attached to a full VPS in Washington, DC.
